Goal: Establish the best school along the riverbank of Jing-Mei River.

Besides sophisticated holistic education, we provide the students a passageway to success.

1. Best school on the riverbank of Jing-Mei River Here, we have the best learning environment a parent could ever want.
Behind the school, we have a natural forest park. Jing-Mei River has a rich ecosystem for natural observation. Not far away, the old street of Shengkeng provides students with numerous historic stories. Our school is one of the few schools in Taiwan that can provide both natural and cultural  experiences to the students. Our campus is big and every corner is a natural learning platform.

2. Rich resources for education
Besides a great learning environment, we have even better teaching  resources. Our school has different special classrooms designed to suit different learning styles with an emphasis on multiple intelligence. Being one of the leading schools on digitalization, we also continuously expend our digital equipments, redesign our computer rooms and set up multi-media classroom and teaching platform on the web.

3. Young, professional and passionate teachers
Teachers are the most important resource of our school because we believe that only professional teachers can educate excellent
students. 60% of our teachers have their Master's degrees. With an average age of 34.5, our teachers have 9 years of teaching experience on average. They are at the top of their peek performance and their teaching is nothing less than excellent. To elevate their professional skills, teachers are encouraged to take courses on a regular basis. We have monthly workshops for each subject and general seminars 3 times each semester.

4. Solid and thorough curriculum
Solid knowledge is the foundation for students' future development. We have long focused our effort on teaching and encouraged teachers to develop and digitalize refined teaching methods. We want our students to learn as much as possible and build a solid foundation in these three years in junior high school.

(1)Chinese: emphasis on writing, web teaching to enhance reading  skills.
(2)English: emphasis on grammar, competitions between classes.
 (3)Math: web teachers at home.
(4)Natural Science: with our own teaching materials.
(5)Social Sciences: geology, history, civics, digitalized special  classrooms
(6)Information Science: emphasis on both the software and the hardware, field trips
(7)Physical Education: professional coaches and trainers
(8)Activities: creative and energetic Boy Scout and Girl Scout
(9)Arts: professional music, visual art and performing artists stationed in school

5. Active after-school tutoring and scholarship
To help needy students, we have the following programs actively implemented: home tutoring service, stipends for crisis area, providing resources for the under-privileged students and families to achieve higher goals. The Parents Association is actively involved in the after school study session. With the parents, teachers and students effort, we have as proud tradition of sending our students into fine senior high schools. In 2005, almost 42% of the students entered public senior high schools. Students who participated in the after school study sessions had scores as high as PR99, with 284 total points. Last year, we had students entering prestigious top senior high schools like Taipei Municipal Jianguo High School, Taipei First Girls High School and the Affiliated Senior High School of National Taiwan Normal University. We also actively locate scholarships for students in need.

11.Goals and vision
2006 is termed the year of Quality teaching in Shenkeng Junior High School. Our goals are improved teaching and efficient learning. Through teachers professional development assessment developed by the Administration of Education, we will promote teachers' teaching skills. We will have school administrative analysis to provide better understanding of how to improve our work.
Our philosophy on success: only when the students are successful, then we can say that the teaching is successful. Only when the school is successful, then we, as a team, can say we are successful. We need to make each hour a success. Our first priority should be motivating the students. The 9th graders should be study for senior high school entrance exam. The 8th graders should learn through multiple teaching methods. The 7th graders should build the foundation of learning.

Changes and competition made the business world see the
facts---quality control is not enough. To occupy a place in the world economy and market, we need to capture the most important element in business---the soul of the business.
                                                ──Denis Waitley,1995

Quality control for teaching is not enough. We must think: What will be the competitive edge for our students in the future? We believe that the sum of competitive edge lies in the accumulation of learning in every hour of every school day. Therefore, we must insist upon excellent teaching. Our teachers' devotion will become deep-rooted memories for each and every alumnus. When they look back on their school years, they will realize that we cared. This is more valuable than everything else. This is the soul of our school---the best school on the Jingmei riverbank.
